Dad's Day
When Father's Day rolls around, I'm going to have to adopt a few spare dads to give all these Father's Day cards to! This one is for a color challenge over at Embellish Magazine. Not a whole lot that's hard to figure out on this one... There's two patterns of Botanical Gazette DSP in it (the same as my Mom's Birthday card a post back) and some dirty fingers from inking the edges. Anyway, the challenge is below, and requested a masculine card in addition to the colors.

Mom's Birthday Card
Happy birthday, mom! I had to steal this card back from her so I could get a photo for this blog! Anyway, I started with the green flower (which was actually inspired by a teacher's shirt...). Then I grabbed some other sheets of Botanical Garden DSP and some ink and of course my lighter and that white powder I love (Clear Emboss FTW!) and just ripped and stamped and glued until I felt like it was done!

Kid's Birthday
Here's another card for the ColourQ challenge. The sun up in the corner is made with my cog punch, probably my favorite item in the whole Stampin' Up! catalog. It's just an orange cog with the center put back in with a yellow cog over it. I also busted out a mini library clip, which are so great for these sort of cards, as well as vintage or steampunk stuff. This card also gave me a change to mount my Jumble Alphabet set, and I watermarked the background with my A to Z background stamp and some good old Versamark! These are the colors for ColourQ challenge #75, below.
